Park District Basketball Programs - KBA
Parents with 1st - 8th Grade Children:
It is that time of year again; KBA Registration! Please find
the materials that you will need to register your son or daughter
for our Kenilworth Park District Basketball Program (KBA).
Families new to KBA:
This is a great way for the kids to play basketball on teams
with their Kenilworth friends on Saturdays. After
reviewing this information and the attachments if you have any
questions, please feel free to contact Kristin Casas ( kristin@casasfamily.net
or 847-208-2910) for clarification.
Families Familiar with KBA:
The 1st - 3rd grade KBA program will be identical to prior years.
The only change for this program is the retirement of Heidi
Higgins as the Director. Jason Hanold is assuming her
role for 1st - 3rd KBA. Bill Doll will continue to run the Saturday
morning games and manage our high school referees for our KBA
Park District Program.
You will notice some minor changes with the program for our
4th - 8th grade students. Specifically, all 4th - 8th
grade children registering for our traditional KBA Basketball
Program are now required to participate in the Wilmette Park
District Evaluation session for their grade. As you know,
our 4th - 6th grade KBA program has always operated under the
umbrella of the Wilmette Park District. Our students WILL
play on traditional Kenilworth KBA teams in this same league,
but Wilmette Park District has required that the students also
participate in their evaluation session November 1st or November
8th. If anyone has a conflict with their Evaluation date
and time slot; please email Kristin and let her know! Parent
volunteers will continue to coach these KBA teams (we need volunteers
to run all of the KBA programs for 1st - 8th grade so please
indicate your interest on your Kenilworth Registration Form!).
Lastly, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls may participate in
these programs on Kenilworth KBA teams too. Depending
on the interest of the 7th and 8th grade students, the bestwill
be done to keep them together on KBA teams .
How do you sign up? Please do the following to register:

It is CRITICAL that these registrations are
on time. We need to review, sort, define coaches, and
potential teams and then submit
ALL
applications for Kenilworth to the Wilmette Park District by
Monday, October 26th.
We never want finances to be a reason for a child not participating
in these athletic program offerings. If you need to confidentially
discuss a scholarship for your child, please contact Dave Connelly
