Kenilworth Beach

Hours:  9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Daily
Beach season begins on Saturday, June 11, 2011 and runs through Labor Day, September 5, 2011. 

The following are the 2011 Beach rates.

Return completed application to Village Hall or Beach Facility.  Please print clearly or type.  Record of your family beach privilege will be on file with the Beach Attendants.  When you complete the application at the Village Hall and wish to use the Beach that same day, please let staff know and they will provide a copy of this application for you.  If your application is not on file with Beach Attendants or you do not have a copy of the application with you, you will have to pay the daily entrance fee to the Beach.   Please do not expect Beach Attendants to know every person on sight.

Rules

These rules and regulations are intended to promote the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of persons using the Beach during the summer.  Nonconformance by a few will result in the annoyance or discomfort to others and should be avoided.  Therefore, the Beach staff have been instructed to enforce these rules uniformly without exception.

  1. If the Water Superintendent determines the water is too cold or rough for swimming, a sign shall be displayed and the Beach will be officially closed while such conditions continue.  Persons who go into the water at this time do so at their own peril

  2. Lifeguard protection is limited to the immediate vicinity of the Beach.  Patrons venturing further do so at their own risk, but lifeguards will warn patrons when they have gone too far.

  3. Patrons are asked to not swim further than they are able to return.

  4. No person shall appear in a state of nudity, or shall any person make any indecent exposure of any kind on the Beach or in the water.  

  5. Children under 8 may not go into the water unless accompanied by an adult. 

  6. Profane, offensive, or vulgar language will not be tolerated.

  7. Rough, boisterous, or offensive activity will not be tolerated.

  8. Ball playing on the Beach will be stopped when it causes annoyance to other Beach patrons.

  9. No dumping on the Beach or in the water.

  10. Glass and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

  11. Fires and incendiary devices are prohibited.

  12. No soliciting.

  13. No boats, rafts, or floats within 300 feet of the Beach.

  14. If patrons appear to be ill or have skin lesions, Beach staff will not allow the patron to go into the water.
