Metra to Delay Schedule Changes       

                       
Metra has notified the Village that it is delaying the revised schedule change that was supposed to go into effect Monda, Sept. 27.  You can go to www.metrarail.com to view a letter from their Board Chairman, Carole Doris, regarding the reasons for the delay.

 The schedule changes are necessitated by a project to replace 22 bridges on the north side of Chicago. While the bridges are being constructed, Metra will be required to operate with a single track through the area. In order to maintain the current capacity, schedule adjustments were necessary in order to avoid train meets within the single track.  Metra apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause riders.
